If using a mellophone with a smaller coupling mount, the steel bar can be filed down to size.

This MobileLyre mellophone lyre will fit mellophones with the screw tightened opening on the body of the instrument, like traditional lyres. 

This lyre will accept any MobileLyre designed case.
